I've found yet another amazing addition to my tasty grub collection for the summer season! Once again found on BBC Good Food's website, this recipe for Braised & Barbecued Pork Shoulder with Cider Ketchup is spectacular. I love the smoky crust after barbecuing. It requires a little bit more effort but it's worth it for big gatherings with family and friends.
The prep time is 20 minutes, with a cook time of 3 hours plus overnight chilling. It's a pretty easy recipe that serves 8-10 people. If anyone is interested in checking out the instructions, please click on the source link up above.
The following ingredients were used:
- 2½ kg boneless pork shoulder
- 2 red onions, halved
- 6 bay leaves
- handful thyme sprigs
- 1 garlic bulb
- 1 tbsp fennel seeds
- 500ml cider
- 75ml apple cider vinegar
- 3 Bramley apples, peeled, cored and chopped
- 100g light brown sugar
- Great for big gatherings!

It's become my favorite dish to serve after a day at the beach. I really recommend it to anyone who enjoys this kind of dish.
