Discovering a Beautiful Land That Celebrates the Magic of Nature
Pandora – The World of Avatar in Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park in Orlando, Florida is a once in a lifetime experience. Just as James Cameron created a new level of technological innovation for movies with the sci-fi epic Avatar, Pandora: The World of Avatar also reinvents the modern theme park. It has so many otherworldly attractions, such as animatronic characters that are as lifelike as possible, and a botanical garden that glows with neon after sunset.
My best experience there was on the flagship ride, Flight of Passage, which combines 3D projections and virtual reality to create the illusion that you are flying atop a living, breathing mountain banshee. A mountain banshee is a prominent figure in the mythical Avatar universe.
Mesmerizing and unique truly does not even begin to explain how well thought out and designed this new attraction is to Disney's Animal Kingdom at the Walt Disney World Resort. When you get deep enough into the Pandorian jungle, you really feel like you've left Earth and arrived on Pandora. The details and sounds are so very encompassing. I love how at night, the scenery flows in the dark and makes for an entirely different immersive experience.
