Opened in 1937 the Golden Gate Bridge spans the mile-wide, three-mile-long channel between San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean.
The bridge has become one of the most internationally recognized symbols of San Francisco, California, and the United States. It has even been declared one of the Wonders of the Modern World.
The iconic suspension bridge connects the northern tip of the San Francisco Peninsula to Marin County and is part of the U.S. Route 101.
I definitely want to walk across this massive expanse.
