This is a pretty tight album overall. A lot of these tracks have the sort of party vibe, "radio-friendly" sound that distinguished a lot of Sugar Hill's records. "It's Nasty (Genius of Love)" and "Scorpio" are both good examples. That's not saying these songs are not classic tracks—they're just not as gritty and real as "The Message.
